Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 September 2026
Cat Match is a puzzle game with a virtual pet. This page explains what information the app handles and why.
What we collect
- Game progress (levels, stars, coins, your cat's state and items) is stored on your device. If you create an account it is also saved on our server so you can restore it on another device.
- Account details when you sign in: your email address, and if you use Sign in with Apple or Google, the identifier and name those services share with us. Passwords are stored hashed and never in plain text.
- Purchases: to prevent fraud we store a record of your App Store transaction identifiers and the products you bought. We never see your payment details; Apple handles all payments.
- Referral codes: if you invite a friend, we store which accounts were linked by a code.
Advertising
Cat Match shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage information to show and measure ads, in line with Google's privacy policy. On iOS you can decline tracking when the app asks, and you can remove ads entirely with the "Remove Ads" purchase.
Notifications
With your permission the app sends local reminders (for example when your cat is hungry). These are scheduled on your device and no data leaves it.
Children
Cat Match is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. Data is only shared with Apple (purchases), Google (ads and optional sign-in) and our hosting provider.
Your choices
- Play without an account: nothing is sent to our server.
- Delete your account any time from the Account screen in the app. This permanently removes your account, cloud save and purchase records from our server.
- Email us to ask what we hold about you or to request deletion.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page and the date above.
